Artist Statement:
I create abstract works that combine painting and collage to explore color relationships, often landscape inspired. My work is rooted in an intuitive process where layers of paint build and shift over time allowing each piece to emerge through both intention and chance.
Inspired by the atmosphere of landscapes rather than their literal representation, I use color and texture to suggest space, depth and movement. I am also interested in the concept of trying to achieve beauty in relationship to the murkiness of the unknown, where clarity dissolve and something less defined begins to take shape.
Through this balance my work becomes a space of transition, inviting viewers to linger between recognition and ambiguity, and to find their own meaning within that in-between.
